
Small scale capital works grants for schools
Applications are open for the Capital Works Fund, which supports projects that upgrade the condition, character or inclusiveness of Victorian schools.
Schools can apply for one of three funding streams:
- Up to $50,000 for small-scale priority or condition-related projects
- Up to $300,000 for student inclusion projects
- Up to $500,000 for larger-scale priority or condition-related projects
Projects can include classroom refurbishments, toilet upgrades, roof repairs, improved playgrounds and ovals, bike shelters, covered walkways, outdoor learning spaces, fences and flagpoles.
The inclusion stream supports projects that cater to all students' educational and social needs.
Applications close Friday July 4.

Men's Shed
Grant applications are now open for the 2025-26 Men's Shed Funding Program.
The program supports the construction and refurbishment of men's sheds, and the purchase of major equipment.
Victorian men's shed groups can apply for grants up to $100,000 towards:
- construction of new men's sheds, including conversion of a building into a men's shed
- refurbishment, extension or upgrade of existing men's sheds
- purchase of major shed equipment for use in men's sheds.
Applications close at 4pm, Thursday July 17.

Community tree grants
The Community Tree Grants program provides grants of up to $500 to schools, clubs and community groups to plant pollinator-friendly trees and shrubs in their local area and help bees thrive.
This year, 20 grants are available, with applications open to community organisations, not-for-profits, school groups, Landcare groups, sporting and gardening clubs and sustainability groups.
Applications close on July 18 at 5pm AEST.
