Smile for the island’s family dentist
2 min read

Phillip Island Dental offers friendly and professional care for the entire family.

Principal dentist Dr Sayed has been working locally for over nine years and two years ago set up his own practice at Settlement Road in Cowes.

While this might be a new practice, Dr Sayed is well known to many in the community and is proud to offer a first-class dental service to Phillip Island and surrounds.

While Dr Sayed’s personal expertise and passion is in cosmetics and implants dentistry, the clinic offers a wide range of services including:

  • Check up and clean
  • Cosmetic dentistry
  • Dental implants
  • Wisdom teeth removal
  • Children’s dentistry
  • Teeth whitening

Orthodontist Dr Frank Noronha also works from the clinic and provides clear aligners and traditional braces.

The clinic, which opened in 2020 is fitted with the most recent technology and equipment, including the OPG x-ray machine which can take a panoramic scan of your mouth, to accurately assess the health of your teeth and gums.

For those – young and old – who are nervous about visiting the dentist, Dr Sayed and his team have a very gentle approach, especially with children, and pride themselves on carefully explaining all procedures to patients.

As well as using diversionary technology (music and media) to calm the nerves, the clinic is also experimenting with virtual reality to help patients feel relaxed and calm, before and during appointments.

It accepts all health insurance cards and has HICAPS so you can claim your dental extras benefits on the spot. As an Accredited Dental Practice, it also partners with several health funds, ensuring members receive even greater benefits.

New clients are always welcome, including visitors to the island who may need emergency dental care.

Busy families will appreciate the clinic’s extended hours, open Monday to Friday from 9am to 6pm and from 9am to 1pm on Saturdays.

Six monthly visits to the dentist are recommended. That way, if there are any problems, they can be identified and fixed early, before bigger and more expensive issues arise.

You can book online or call the clinic to talk to one of the friendly staff.
