Open gardens in Bass Coast
CWA Victoria is holding Open Garden events in November, including two here in Bass Coast.
Bass Coast garden lovers will have two beautiful gardens open to enjoy. Patchwork Maze and Dicky’s Garden will open on Saturday, November 13 from 10am to 4pm. The cost is $10 entry to both gardens.
Dicky’s Garden is a delightful garden and will be open for viewing at 735 Loch/Kernot Road Kernot.
Situated on a gently rising slope, opposite a lovely view of green hills and trees, the garden is colourful and tranquil. There are trees, hedges and plants in profusion, with lovely floral groundcovers.
Dicky and CWA Woodleigh Vale Branch welcome you and will have light refreshments available.
Currently there are several varieties of orchids and roses in bloom and a feature of the garden is a wonderful display of potted plants at the rear of the house.
Patchwork Maze is located at 21 Coastview Lane, Glen Alvie and offers beautiful views over rolling farmland.
The garden will be in full bloom with stunning rose arbours and garden beds filled with bulbs, perennials and roses. The feature is the beautiful weeping elm in the centre of the driveway.
Jeanette, a Glen Alvie Branch member and Peter welcome you to relax in the garden and enjoy a CWA Devonshire tea provided by CWA Phillip Island Twilight Branch.
Jeanette will have her shop open at Patchwork Maze and will have some fabulous specials for visitors.
At both gardens there will be CWA stalls with cakes, slices and biscuits, preserves, plants and crafts.
Come and enjoy CWA hospitality and help support those most vulnerable in our community.
