Phillip Island Nature Parks' senior research officer Meagan Tucker was part of the Channel 9 live cross on the Cowes jetty last Thursday morning.

Phillip Island featured on live weather crosses throughout the Today program last Thursday morning.

Weatherman Tim Davies, from the Channel 9 TV show, spoke to a range of businesses including G'day Tiger and Wellbeing Elements, also visiting the Penguin Parade last Wednesday night with footage featured during the weather segment.

Tim visited the Phillip Island Sauna, including meeting local Submergers, who cold plunge in the bay each morning.

He appeared on the Cowes jetty at 7am before heading out to Seal Rocks with Wildlife Coast Cruises, including a live cross with crew member Leigh, who spoke about the upcoming whale season, beginning June 4, and the annual Island Whale Festival in early July.

Channel 9's stay was sponsored by Visit Victoria, and Tourism Minister Steve Dimopoulos explained it was part of a new initiative designed to "showcase regional communities through media and broadcast partnerships".
