Phillip Island Land Alliance - PILA workshop opportunity September 2023
Cultural Heritage field-based workshop at Rhyll
Come to an opportunity to meet Bunurong Heritage Officers on Phillip Island/ Millowl and meet Bunurong peoples representatives and learn about:
- Cultural heritage values of the wonderful coastline around Rhyll Inlet
- How to recognise significant items if found in our voluntary works on sites.
- What to do and how to help protect these items
DATE: Thursday 7th September
TIME: 10 am - 2pm
MEET AT: end of McIlwraith Street then we will walk around the point down past Rhyll Yacht club to finish at lunch spot at Rhyll boat ramp (Note -we can transport some drivers back up to McIlwraith Street at end of workshop )
AIMS : To gain practical knowledge from Bunurong Cultural Heritage Officers from Bunurong Land Council and build our knowledge and capacity to help protect these significant values within our volunteering activities.
WEAR: Walking shoes/boots, hats, weather protection/ warm coats; water bottles, thermos with hot water for our coffees/teas -
Light lunch will be provided.
