They were both directed to appear at the Latrobe Valley County Court on August 28 for a plea hearing on a date to be fixed.
Road rage
Cowes police are appealing for witnesses to a road-rage assault on May 16.
Police believe at approximately 2.30pm, a white and grey coloured Volvo tip truck, which was driven by a 59-year-old male, was driving south on Thompson Avenue approaching the roundabout at the intersection of Church Street.
It’s believed a black coloured Porsche, driven by a male, was also driving in the area.
Police further believe the driver of the truck and the driver of the Porsche then had a verbal altercation, which escalated to a physical altercation.
Police have been told that people in a nearby vehicle, who were possibly associated with the driver of the Porsche, became involved, and then all parties were separated.
As a result of the physical altercation, the truck driver received injures to his face.
Police are seeking any witness to this matter. It’s believed there were a substantial number of passers-by in the area, as the incident occurred in a busy part of Cowes.
