Chopper search for missing man

A police helicopter circled over Cowes last Thursday trying to find a missing 30-year-old male.

At the time, Wonthaggi Police Acting Senior Sergeant Ryan Burns said police were concerned for the welfare of the “high risk missing person”, who may be injured.

The man has lived in Cowes previously but is currently not local.

Acting Snr Sgt Burns said the PolAir helicopter circled Cowes early Friday morning and throughout the course of the day.
