Phillip Island U12 Blue are 2026 Premiers after an unforgettable Grand Final win over Inverloch-Kongwak at Inverloch on Sunday.
Played in beautiful sunny conditions, the ground was surrounded by a huge crowd dressed in red, white and blue, creating an incredible atmosphere as captains Kaia and Ryder led the Bulldogs out for their biggest game of the season.
It was a hard-fought contest from the opening bounce, with neither side willing to give an inch.
The young Bulldogs showed plenty of determination and composure, fighting right until the final siren.
With just two minutes remaining, the scores were locked at 18-all and the nervous Bulldog crowd was preparing for the possibility of extra time.
Then came the moment of the match. Tanner Lee kicked the winning goal, putting Phillip Island six points ahead and sending the red, white and blue crowd into celebration.
The Bulldogs held on to record a thrilling 24–18 Grand Final victory.
Tanner finished with two goals and was named Best on Ground by SGFNC, while Fletcher Hennessy was named Best on Ground by the coaches and awarded the Grand Final match ball.
Sam Martindale also kicked two goals in a terrific performance.
Best players were Fletcher Hennessy, Zachary Dunn, Logan Regnier, Tanner Lee, Sam Martindale and Cooper Bennett.
It was an amazing coaching effort from Chris and Brad, who guided the boys throughout the season and helped them deliver when it mattered most.
Special mentions also go to team manager Rachael and runner David for everything they contributed to the team throughout the year.
