San Remo Christmas celebration

Following the cancellation of the annual Carols by Candlelight due to Covid restrictions, the San Remo/Newhaven Lions Club will now be providing a free sausage sizzle at the San Remo foreshore car park on Friday, December 17 from 4pm onward.

Father Christmas will be on hand to give away lollies to the children.

Everyone is invited to come down, say hello and enjoy one of the famous Lions Club sausages.

“Bring the kids to meet Santa and get their free bag of lollies,” President Michael Newton said.

“The Lions Club looks forward to putting on carols next year but for now we would like to see as many people as possible join us in our Christmas celebration next Friday.

“Club members will be on hand to chat about the community activities we are involved in and answer any questions about membership, as we are always looking for new members to help continue the work we do.”
