In 2019 the owner of this land (outlined in red on Settlement Road) sought a planning amendment, requiring the state Planning Minister’s approval, to gift about 40ha to Nature Parks in exchange for planning approval for low-density homes on the remaining hectares. VCAT has now permanently rejected the home permit.
