Season wraps for U14 Girls

The Island U14 Girls went up against Inverloch in the preliminary finals over the weekend.

From the first centre bounce, the group had a final fierceness about them - taking every tackle opportunity.

Some epic clearances out of the centre by the Island's speedy midfielders kept the footy tucked into their forward line for some solid blocks.

The Island's backline was fierce and worked incredibly well together as a team to ensure they kept the oppositions forward line under their control.

The girls elevated their game play to put in a competitive and memorable effort against Inverloch Kongwak however were unable to take the win this week.

As the curtain closes on their debut season, the team would like to thank Coach Justin, Assistant Coach Jackie and Team Manager Casey for assisting to build a brand-new side and create an unforgettable season for this magnificent group of girls.

To all the parents who were helpful, supportive and encouraging all season of this ripper team, the club appreciates you.

With many of the U14s progressing to Youth Girls next season, the team has positions available for next year's team.
