Members of the Phillip Island Senior Citizens Club had a fabulous time at their Melbourne Cup lunch on Friday November 3.

Melbourne Cup specialist and memorabilia collector Ray Metsin brought along a great range of what was only a small part of his collection called Ray's Relics.

“Ray told stories behind each piece to our enquiring and fascinated members,” said Secretary Liza Lee.

“We also had a prize for best hat worn on the day with our beautiful Beverley Robertson taking out the prize for the women, and the very dapper Barry Smith with his polka dot peak cap won the prize for the men.”

Everyone agreed the day was a great success.
