Shopping for a great cause

Phillip Island World Vision Club held a ‘Buy for a Cause’ event held at Chatters on Cowes, on November 17.

The fun event not only gave guests the opportunity to buy something chic to wear at Christmas, but also to enjoy each other’s company and the delicious nibbles prepared by Club members, while raising money for a great cause.

Charles Watson performed barman duties, greeting guests as they arrived.

“We are grateful to Jane Weisner, of Chatters On Cowes, for hosting this event which was our final fundraiser for the year,” said club president Lynne Kharanda.

“Phillip Island World Vision Club is proud to have raised just over $20,000 this year for World Vision Australia – supporting our sponsored children and communities, and donating funds to alleviate crises.”
