Children's Week grants

Grants of up to $1000 are available to eligible organisations to help host fun activities and events for children and families during Children's Week, October 19 - 27. The grants support free events or activities such as storytelling, art exhibitions, dance.

Applications close on June 16. To apply, visit vic.gov.au/childrens-week-grants-program.


Students' Parliamentary Prize competition

Entries are open for the annual 2024 Parliament Prize competition, open for students in Years 5 - 12.

To enter, students need to record a video of themselves delivering a Member's Statement as if they are delivering it to the Parliament.

The Parliament Prize competition is open to all Victorian primary and secondary school students, with age categories of years five to six, years seven to nine and years 10-12. Prizes are awarded.

Early Years Awards

Nominations for the Victorian Early Years Awards are now open.

The Awards celebrate the outstanding work of early childhood professionals and services, recognising their roles in improving the health, wellbeing, learning and development of children from birth to eight years.

This year, the awards will celebrate leadership, outstanding achievements, dedication and innovation across nine categories.

All winners will receive $15,000 to further develop their initiatives and share the learnings of their approaches, or to support their professional development.

Finalists from the nine categories will also be considered for the prestigious Minister's Award, selected by Minister for Children.

Nominations close on June 13, with finalists announced in August. For information or to nominate, visit vic.gov.au/victorian-early-years-awards


Jobs and events for regions

The latest round of the Regional Events Fund is open until June 30.

Grants of up to $500,000 are open to organisers of festivals, sports events, exhibitions and more to attract and grow events of international or national significance while grants of up to $50,000 are available for marketing and support of events that attract intrastate and interstate visitors.
