Palliative care grants
The Gippsland Advance Care Planning in General Practice - Quality Improvement initiative offers Gippsland general practices a single $5000 grant to support their involvement in a three-month program focused on embedding advance care planning into routine care.
Expressions of interest close at 5pm on Tuesday May 12. To be eligible, practices must operate within Gippsland and be accredited with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.

Award for nursing trailblazers
The Australian College of Nursing (ACN) is calling for nominations for the Health Minister's Award for Nursing Trailblazers.
The award highlights the profound impact nursing innovation has on health care delivery and patient-centred care, recognising nurses who are leading transformative change and reshaping health care in Australia.
Eligible nominees include registered nurses, nurse practitioners, and enrolled nurses whose work has significantly advanced health outcomes.
Nominations close June 1.

Emergency services funding
Applications for the 2026-27 Volunteer Emergency Services Equipment Program VESEP round are now open.
Grants of up to $250,000 are available for volunteer organisations including the Country Fire Authority (CFA), Victoria State Emergency Service (VICSES), Life Saving Victoria (LSV) and Volunteer Marine Search and Rescue (MSAR).
Funding can be used for vehicles, operational equipment, technology and station or facility upgrades.
