An attempt to skate 170km from Docklands to Phillip Island in one hit was unsuccessful.
Inline skater Adam Morrow said he made just over halfway - 88.4km, before deciding to retire from the challenge.
"I spent all my energy and had nothing left," he said.
"The last 11km felt brutal."
He said an injury hampered his training in the lead up to the journey and he felt "bummed" he wasn't able to complete challenge.
However he vowed to concentrate on his recovery and build back up slowly, in time for an other epic skate in 2025.
Previously he skated from Melbourne to Geelong (94kms) and raised over $600 for Love your Sister.
For the Phillip Island journey, so far he has raised $2,575 for Love Your Sister and was also supporting the Heart Lung Transplant Trust Victoria.
Despite having to abandon the challenge, Adam still made it down to Phillip Island on Friday and visited Mod Eisley Cantina, who supported the fund raiser.
The team at Mod Eisley continued to fund raise throughout the afternoon.
You can still make donations via Adam's fundraising page adamshandyhands.com.au/adams-epic-skate/, which has direct links to the charities.
