More wildlife deaths occur on Phillip Island roads with moderate to high speed limits, according to a new study.

A total of 2479 individual roadkill were recorded in bi-weekly surveys undertaken in 1998, 1999 and 2014 by Nature Parks and Deakin University. The swamp wallaby was the most frequently recorded species.
