The Red Rocks Golf Club proudly joined the global celebration of International Women's Golfing Week, which runs from May 27 to June 4, by opening its course to women of all skill levels for a fun and inclusive day of golf and camaraderie.
The event, held under perfect skies, featured a relaxed team Ambrose competition - a format ideal for beginners and experienced golfers alike. The day was part of the worldwide Women's Golf Day initiative, which aims to engage, empower and support women and girls through the game of golf, while also contributing to charitable causes at a local level.
The response from participants was overwhelmingly positive. Many remarked on how the event not only encouraged more women to take up the sport, but also highlighted the joy of the game's social aspects. Laughter, teamwork and a touch of friendly competition made for a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon.
After the final putt dropped, players gathered at the clubhouse for a celebratory afternoon tea, complete with wine and good company. The relaxed setting allowed new friendships to form and the spirit of the day to continue well beyond the final scores.
Red Rocks Golf Club is to be commended for embracing the vision and mission of Women's Golf Day - making the game of golf accessible, inclusive, and, above all, fun for women and girls in the local community.
