U17s dominate against Nar Nar Goon
1 min read

A lovely morning with clear skies as the island girls started off strong against the Goon. Although relatively close for the first quarter while they found their flow and gained momentum.

Meika confidently shone in goals as Maya delivered her beautiful strong passes down to the ring.

The defenders prevented many attempts by Nar Nar Goon to shoot, with some excellent stretches and intercepts in the second quarter.

Jasira, Abby and Isla definitely proved their value being onboard this year's U17s side.

Tilly was in her familiar mid court position being there for all if needed and a swap with Maya who proved strong in her ability to be placed anywhere on the court and was fantastic in GD.

By the final quarter the island girls were away with a score almost doubling that of the Goon.

The girls showed that after only two games together, they are fierce contenders to be premiers again this year.

Best on Court: Maya Huther and Meika White.

Phillip Island: 52 def Nar Nar Goon: 30.
