In wild conditions at Inverloch, with rain pelting down sideways and the wind dictating much of the play, Phillip Island’s Reserves toughed out a gritty win over Cora Lynn.
The Bulldogs adapted best to the weather, playing smart, contested football and locking the ball in their half when it mattered.
Scoring was always going to be tough, but Phillip Island made the most of their chances.
The defensive unit was outstanding, keeping Cora Lynn goalless for the entire match, while the midfield worked tirelessly to push the ball forward in the wet.
This result sees the Bulldogs’ Reserves progress further into finals.
