U14 Blue's Bulldogs against Dalyston

U14 Blue

Phillip Island Blue, travelled to the home of the Dalyston magpies, for a must win game.

Captain Cashman had the team in a lather with his pre-game routine of counting down for ten to one in a raucous manner.

After the kids had pleased their parents with a good knowledge of numbers, they ran out.

Within the first six minutes, the Doggies had kicked seven goals and took control.

By quarter's end, they had 10 goals on the board to 0.

With Flynn Denge, Sammy O, Ollie Bain and Henhouse controlling the centre, they took charge of the game.

Heath Bowen was up to his usual antics, kicking goals from all areas.

The second quarter went the same way, With the Magpies short of players, the Doggies handed over some quality talent, which made more of a game of it.

Al, Lewy and Angus ran the back line and with Joe ‘The General’ Kelsy pushing the ball forward at every opportunity, the Doggies were well placed for the win.

The third quarter saw the Doggies rolling forward.

Levi ‘Mr. Everywhere’ Addison, Marley Cabello, Zane Matthews and Bryce ‘The Goal Sneak’ Lawrence were all having a field day.

Good play by Jesse Moshetti, he had his opponent on roller skates with his crafty moves.

Going into the last, the Doggies had a good lead.

A great mark by Sam Fairthorn and clever foot work from both Riley Herbert and Harvey Strachan, which resulted in two goals.

Gem ‘Mad Dog’ Hennaken and Duke Lawence teamed up well for another goal and the Doggie's had the game in the bag.
