St Philip's 150 celebrations
Faye and Peter Thornborrow, representing the early island Thornborrow family, are pictured at St Philip’s 150th celebrations on Sunday. Peter, whose family ties with the church go back to the early 1900s, recalled how his dad John Thornborrow played the organ at the church in the 1930s, alternating the task with Manning Clark, who went on to become famous as an Australian historian.
