The Submerge group are taking to the ocean every morning this month, braving the very chilly waters to raise money for the Cancer Council's Daffodil Dip Challenge.

While the women do the hard work of plunging into icy waters, they're hoping the community can help their fundraising in an easier - and tastier - way.

On Saturday August 22, from 9am - 12pm, they'll be holding a special Morning Tea at St Philip's Hall in Cowes.

Come and enjoy delicious scones (by the group's scone-meister Janet), fresh from the oven, and an assortment of other homemade goodies.

The day is being supported by St Philip's, who have generously donated the use of their kitchen.

There'll also be a special raffle with the chance to win a whale watcher photo - Twin Breachers in the Sun - by local photographer IanR Photography.

Second prizes is a Cosy Comfort pack, including a massage, handcrafted beanie and gloves.

Tickets are $5 or three for $10.

If you can't make it along to enjoy the Morning Tea, you can donate online, by scanning the QR code.

In the past, the Submerge group have run successful fundraisers for Carrie's Beanies 4 Brain Cancer and the Good Friday Appeal - raising more than $10,000.

Please come along and treat yourself for a very good cause, with all funds going to the Cancer Council.
