Tough day at the office for Youth Girls
Scores: Nar Nar Goon 4.14.38. Phillip Island 1.1.7.
Last week saw the Island Youth Girls play their last match at home for the season against Nar Nar Goon.
Getting off to a slow start, the Island girls found themselves down early in the game.
The Island's defensive line, led by Jade Ricardo and Scarlette Rees, once again worked tirelessly against a constant attack, but it was not long before Nar Nar Goon had taken a strong lead.
In muddy and scrappy conditions, the Island girls finally got their game going in the final quarter, but by then the task was too big.
A goal from Isabella Stead late in the game however, allowed the Island to put points on the board.
The Youth Girls' final game for the season will be played against Woodside at Inverloch.
The team have thanked the many U14s who fill the gaps each week within their team.
