Trees to be protected from urban development
Councillors have approved a new urban forest strategy, which states no neighbourhood should fall below 25 per cent canopy coverage. Most recently there has been concern that more than 3300 trees and plants will be removed to make way for a new retirement village between Settlement Road and Church Street near Justice Road, Cowes.
