Trick or treating - Covid regulations in place
Trick or treaters this Halloween need to follow the current Covid restrictions.
Trick or treat will look a little different this year.
Although the state government has advised regional Victorians can trick or treat this Halloween, they need to follow the current Covid restrictions.
This includes limiting group sizes to 10 people, wearing masks, carrying hand sanitiser and social distancing.
Trick or treaters shouldn’t enter private properties and any treats should be individually wrapped and left on the fence or at the front of the property.
There should not be any community lolly bowls.

Groups of trick or treaters should not interact or join together, with DHHS recommending staggered times for the neighbour walks.
There’s still plenty of fun ways to enjoy Halloween despite the restrictions, including decorating your house or creating some spooky drawings on your driveway or footpath.
You might even want to add a Halloween character to the local Spoonville.
Other suggestions for Covid-safe Halloween activities include online costume parades, cooking ghoul-inspired food or creating a backyard Halloween treasure hunt (Easter egg hunt style).
The details of the latest Covid restrictions are available at the DHHS website.
