U10 Reds take home win against Inverloch
This week's junior footy reports.
It was a strong start from the Red pups, but the Sea Eagles were very strong and scored an early couple of points in quarter one.
With dubious umpiring from the Inverloch side, there were a lot of free kicks against the pups.
Strong marks from Tanner, Lenny, Cody and Eli – great in defence the whole team was strong and ready to take the game on. Two points scored by Invy.
The second quarter made the Sea-Eagles push the ball into their 50 but Oscar was waiting in defence multiple times pushing back. Once the boys got a flow on the whole team pushed forward which resulted in a goal from Lenny followed up by another goal by Maxxi. Great flowing quarter.
Eli started strong in the third quarter with constant pressure, but the Invy lads kept the pressure up and scored a point.
Max and Reef were very strong pushing back.
It was an arm wrestle through the whole quarter, Ray with huge amount of courage got a hard knock but got straight back on and soldiered on like champ.
In the final quarter the arm wrestle started again from where it left off – the pups had the scoring end and started with an early point and locked it in the 50.
A huge mark out of nowhere from Fletch put the pups on a high as he followed his mark up with a goal which put the pups ahead.
The energy was electric on the boundary this quarter with massive grabs from Lenny and strong pressure from every player kept all the parents on the edge of their seats as the pups took home the win.
