U10 Red's tough it out in wintery conditions

U10 Red

The first quarter started out strong for our pups, with Reef strong in the mid and Tanner strong up forward.

Ollie Alan had a great start to the game.

Strong tackling from Max Robinson followed by a great one step goal from Lenny Nolan.

Lenny smashed through two goals in the first quarter against Killy-Bass.

Quarter two had a good start from Killy-Bass, out of the middle and scoring an early goal.

The island had great defence from Leith and Brock trying to push the ball back, but the Killy-Bass forwards kept it locked up their end kicking five more points.

The third quarter had this week’s captain – Eli Long, strong from the start.

Resistance from Killy-Bass made it very hard for the pups to score but luckily for us, Bode Based got one through, kicking his first goal for the season.

Max Parry was strong in defence, not letting his opponent into the Killy-Bass forward line, great pressure from Fletcher as always in the mid and great defence from Logan.

With a good lead in the final quarter, the pups had a solid job to in the backline to stop a very determined Killy-Bass forward midline. Lenny, Leith and Eli used their smarts and held their ground in the square only slowing through a point leaving with a win for the pups.

Well done to our under 10s for another great game.

Awarded players: Eli Long, Logan Regnier, Bode Based and Brock Larsson.
