U12 Blue's take win against Korumburra
U12 Blue's junior football results.
U12 Blue
It was a blistering cold and windy morning in the Burra peaking at 11 degrees but feeling like eight degrees; the belting rain wasn’t encouraging either.
The U12 Doggies rolled into town with fire in their bellies and a massive day ahead for co-captain Zoe, celebrating her 50th game.
With a few members down, coach Mick gave a great pre-game speech followed up by fantastic encouragement by co-captains Zoe and Max.
The team entered the oval via an awesome banner for Zoe’s 50th game full of cheers and hoots.
Big Dexter won the first ruck which led to Roy snagging a ripper goal in the first 30 seconds which was quickly followed with another by Sam K.
A series of successive goals followed through the quarter by Ryder V, Kai D, Brax, and Jarrah.
The Doggies’ clearances out of the centre held Korumburra to getting the ball into their half only a couple of times for the half.
Another goal to the Doggies on the siren by Kai D sealed the deal for half time 0-77.

Second half was all Phillip Island with great teamwork and everyone getting a touch.
Co-captains Zoe and Max both snapping goals late in the fourth.
It’s great to see everyone giving it their all in the trying conditions and credit to the Korumburra kids for never giving up or dropping their heads.
As the siren went the weather had started to ease off, much to the relief of the umpires, runners, and goalies alike.
With finals scores at 122 – 0.
Twenty-two goals were kicked with 11 different scorers shows the depth of this team showing great signs for the remainder of the season.
Awards: Zoe, Max, Sam, Sonny, Ryder and Zack.
Big congratulations to the extra award winners for their commitment during the school holidays for tasks set by coach Mick.
