Back at the Kennel today to take on Kilcunda Bass FC after a well-earned break.

The puffer jackets and beanies were in good supply as a cold wind swept across the ground.

With a full-strength team, the Reds got off to a quick start, dominating out of the middle giving the polished Flynn Riley the first look and goal.

Not to be outdone, Xavier Holmes broke through half the Kilcunda Bass team and kicked a great goal on the run.

The second term scoring slowed down as we kicked into a strong wind.

Kolby ‘The General’ Carton was back at it, providing plenty of run and clearing kicks out of defence.

Our small forwards Ry Sheers and Declan Dickson got to the right spots and took multiple strong marks.

With the wind at our backs, we hit the ground running as Zane Larsson played a dominant quarter in the engine room.

Two quick goals from Archie Robinson piled the scoreboard pressure on and gave us a handy lead.

Denver Preddice Firth was everywhere, taking six marks and kicking a goal in what was arguably his best quarter for the year.

Dustin Naismith kicked a goal after a strong mark to start the last quarter.

Flynn Doig exploded out of the pack and was rewarded with a great goal on the run.

The team played a great game and scored well in difficult conditions.
