Volunteer and connect - Bass Coast Landcare Network

**** UPDATE - Unfortunately due to low numbers this event has been postponed - we will update you with new dates for 2022 ****

The Bass Coast Landcare Network is hosting an online event to help reinvigorate and re-engage volunteers in the local community.

The event is designed to show how local groups are making a difference and how you can get involved.

Lisa Wangman from BCLN said the event is an opportunity to hear from five local organisations working to increase awareness and action to improve our environments and reduce our impacts on the world.

“The great news is that all of them have plenty of different opportunities for you to join in,” she said.

“This online event will showcase how being involved with these organisations has had huge benefits for local people, some of the many things they do and give you a chance to find out more about them in a non-committal way.”

Presenters include South Gippsland Conservation Society, Bass Coast Landcare Network/Groups, Phillip Island Conservation Society, Totally Renewable Phillip Island, and the Energy Innovation Cooperative.

Each group will host a modified ‘Pecha Kucha’ style presentation of 10 photos in 10 minutes, showing what they do, why local people are involved and how you can join in.

There will also be an opportunity to ask questions in the online chat and get them answered by the groups either in the session, or afterwards.

This online event will be held using zoom on Wednesday, November 24 from 7pm – 830pm and zoom links will be sent out to registered participants in the days before the event.
