Water grants open

Westernport Water is inviting applications for its 2026–27 community support program, offering sponsorship funding and in-kind support for local events and water projects.

Through the program, $40,000 is being made available for eligible local schools, kinders, community groups, sporting clubs and not-for-profit organisations based within Westernport Water’s service area.

There are four sponsorship packages to choose from:

1 Water refill stations (fountains) - up to $7000
2 Small water efficiency projects - up to $5000
3 Sports hydration package - up to $500
4 Event package - Hydration station, bottles, billboard signs, plus $500 towards an event.

Each package aims to promote drinking tap water, water conservation, sustainable environmental outcomes, or build important community partnerships.

Westernport Water managing director Dona Tantirimudalige said the grants were in their seventh year and “we’re proud that the program continues to support local organisations working to improve the environment and community wellbeing”.

Applications open until June 18.
