Living Library - 10th anniversary of Bass Coast Post

The Waterline community is holding a series of events in the coming months, including events to raise funds for the area’s nurse practitioner.

The funds raised will help Deb Garvey continue the practice in Grantville, which has operated in the area for 11 years.

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Bass Coast Post, the Post’s Catherine Watson will be the guest speaker at a Living Library session on September 18 from 2pm to 4pm.

Catherine will also give an update on the Save Western Port campaign and the event will conclude with an afternoon tea.

The fundraisers were organised after a recent Medicare review concluded that nurse practitioner Deb Garvey was spending more time with her patients than Medicare allowed and she’s been directed to repay money, with further restrictions placed on the Medicare items she can access.
