It was a cold and wet morning for our pups as they gathered at Korumburra footy ground for Round six, led by their captain for the week Ray Wolfenden.
In the first quarter the pups were ready to show Korumburra they were here to win, keeping the ball in their 50. Great defence from Fletch Hennessy, Ray Wolfenden, Lenny Nolan and Leith Cameron lead to some quick goals by Oscar Innes and Max Robinson along with points by Lenny Nolan putting the pups ahead from the get-go.
The mid field was strong through the second quarter with Max Parry, Bode Bassed, Tanner Lee and Sunny Woodrup working together to keep the ball in their 50, again flowing through the mid field to Dash Janson who kicked a great goal.
Half time gave Korumburra the opportunity to regroup and push a little harder in the third quarter, kicking their first goal for the day - this didn’t worry our pups as they bounced back with another goal by Max Robinson.
With the rain coming down and the chill in the air the pups were ready to finish the fourth quarter with a high kicking and amazing goal by Ray Johns.
All of the kids braved the weather today and showed how well they work together as a team – rain, hail or shine!
Awards: Ray Johns, Oscar Innes, Max Parry and Toby McHugh.
