Wild winds cut power
A tree down over powerlines caused a power outage on Sunday morning across sections of Phillip Island.

Wild wilds on Sunday morning left properties across Phillip Island without power.

AusNet crews were out early after trees fell across a powerline.

Power was cut to Silverleaves, Sunset Strip, Cowes and Ventnor and Phillip Island Road was closed at Five Ways.

Properties at Smiths Beach, Summerlands, San Remo and Rhyll also lost power due to the storm, but most were restored by 11am.

Emergency services responded to calls for assistance across the area, mainly due to trees down.
