A swimming sensation

Year 2 students at Cowes Primary School were incredibly lucky to welcome Amanda Drennan for a very special visit this month.

Amanda shared her experiences representing Australia as a paraswimmer, as well as the incredible story of her open-water swim around Phillip Island.

"Our students were captivated as Amanda spoke about her experiences, the challenges she has faced and the determination needed to achieve her goals," said Principal Rodney McKenzie.

"They asked thoughtful questions and were incredibly engaged throughout her visit.

"A huge thank you to Amanda for taking the time to share her story with us.

"It was a wonderful opportunity for our students to hear firsthand about courage, perseverance and resilience from such an inspiring local athlete."
