A very special welcome back to Maddie Leed
A fantastic atmosphere under lights at The Kennel.
U18s
There was a fantastic atmosphere under lights at The Kennel on Friday night as the Phillip Island Girls U18s put together one of their most complete performances of the season, defeating Inverloch-Kongwak.
The girls came out firing from the opening bounce, applying fierce pressure and
moving the ball with confidence.
They created plenty of scoring opportunities in the first quarter to take control early and never looked back.
The midfield worked tirelessly to give the forwards first use, while the backline stood strong all night, limiting Inverloch-Kongwak to just one goal.
It was a genuine four-quarter team performance, with every player contributing to an outstanding win.
A very special welcome back to Maddie Leed, who returned to the field after recovering from an ACL injury.
After months of hard work, resilience and determination through her rehabilitation, it was fantastic to see Maddie back out there wearing the Island
jumper.
Her return was a highlight of the night, and the whole club is incredibly proud
of her perseverance.
Welcome back, Maddie.
A big congratulations to all the girls on an exceptional team effort.
Thank you to the coaches, trainers, volunteers, umpires, and the fantastic supporters who braved the winter night to cheer the girls on.
Score: PI 98 def Inverloch-Kongwak 7.
