Cape Woolamai Surf Beach

A hotspot on the Island for experienced surfers, Cape Woolamai is Phillip Island's longest and most exposed beach, stretching 4.2km and facing the powerful south-west swells.

Known for it's strong rips and big waves, It's ideal for surfing but not recommended for swimming.

Home to the Island's only Surf Lifesaving Club the beach is patrolled during summer.  

Serious surf, stunning scenery and raw coastal energy, this beach is a must for thrill seekers.

Facilities include toilets, change rooms, cold showers and accessible parking.  As well as drinks and food at the Magic Kiosk located at the top of the stairs.

This beach can have strong rips and currents.

Cape Woolamai Surf Beach is patrolled between 1st December - Easter Monday every weekend and daily through the Christmas peak season.

Lifesavers are only on duty when the red and yellow flags are displayed. Remember to always swim between the flags.
