College's music video strikes a chord

Newhaven College has swapped traditional school advertising for song, dance and plenty of heart in a new musical-style video campaign that is already gaining strong traction online.

Titled There's a Seat Right Here for You, the upbeat video features students and staff singing and dancing across the College's campus while celebrating belonging, wellbeing, friendship and opportunity.

The video showcases many aspects of school life including outdoor learning, performing arts, sport and experiential education.

Principal Tony Corr said the campaign was designed to reflect the true spirit of the College.

"We wanted to create something joyful, authentic and memorable that reflects who we are as a school community," Mr Corr said.

"At its heart, the video is about belonging. Every child deserves to feel seen, supported and inspired - and that's what we strive to provide every day at Newhaven College."

The campaign has already resonated online, attracting more than 2000 views in its first 24 hours and nearing 4000 views within just five days of launch.

Filmed across the College's 83-acre Phillip Island campus, the production features real students, teachers and staff, with an original song written by long-time College teacher David Prideaux.
