U17s give their all in Grand Final

Phillip Island’s Under 17 netballers may have fallen short in their Grand Final, but they can hold their heads high after a terrific season and a determined performance against Cora Lynn.

The Island girls started strongly in challenging, windy conditions and took the game right up to Cora Lynn from the opening whistle.

Unfortunately, as the match progressed, Cora Lynn proved too strong, but Phillip Island never gave up.

The girls continued to work hard for one another and gave everything they had right through until the final whistle.

While it wasn’t the result they had hoped for, reaching the Grand Final capped off a fantastic season for this talented group.

They have played some great netball throughout the year and shown plenty of determination, teamwork and support for oneanother along the way.

Plenty more great photos of the Grand Final day kindly supplied by Carol.
