Phillip Island Golf club is back into competitions and playing in 4s which is great news.

Maintaining our social distancing and wearing face masks, the course was crowded on Thursday, September 17 for the first competition back and again on Saturday, September 19.

Thursday, September 17 – Men’s and Ladies Stableford.

Winner was Rowan Wales H/c (24) with 47 points from Mark Beaton H/c (17) with 40 points.

9 Hole competition – Men’s and Ladies Stableford winner was Peter Matthews H/c (33) with 19 points from Don Chapman H/c (36) with 18 points on a countback from Brian Carvell H/c (28).

Saturday, September 19 – Men’s 18 Monthly Medal (May) Stroke – sponsored by Ray Pobjoy.

A Grade winner – Lawrence Ferrari H/c (12) with 70 points on a countback.

A Grade runner up – Ken Sellers H/c (12) 70 points.

B Grade winner – Reece Jamieson H/c (15) with 71 points on a countback.

B Grade runner up – Mike Fitzmaurice H/c (17) with 71 points on a countback.

C Grade winner and Monthly Medal winner – James Taylor H/c (34) with 67 points.

C Grade runner up – Gerard Taylor H/c (19) with 69 points.

Ladies competition – Ladies 18 Holes Stroke winner was Faye Morris H/c (11) with 73 points from Stacey Meder H/c (30) with 74 points.

Men’s and Ladies – 9 Holes Stableford.

9 Hole winner was Ron Hateley H/c (32) with 20 points.
