The Bulldogs came out firing in the first quarter and put Nar Nar Goon on notice, led by shooting accuracy and strong mid-court ball movement to take the lead at the first break.
Unfortunately for Phillip Island this was to be their best quarter and a more experienced top age Nar Nar Goon responded with an impressive come back in the second quarter.
The Bulldogs were unable to stop Nar Nar Goon’s strong mid-court and goaling combination and they continued to pull away across the second half of the game to seal the win despite all attempts to slow them down.
Coach Anna Mewett was not disappointed in the final score, praising the girls for making it to the big dance.
An impressive achievement for a team of mostly bottom age players and an exciting glimpse at what they will bring to 2024 as top age players.
