Grit and determination against local rivals - U11s
Phillip Island: 23 def Kilcunda-Bass: 11.
Saturday morning saw the local derby between Phillip Island and Kilcunda-Bass.
Eden was named captain for the day and won the toss and bravely picked an end instead of possession.
With still a couple of girls missing, some players were out of position but handled it with no fuss which shows they are ready for anything.
The first half was tight with the lead changing plenty of times.
Our defence for Ella and Marley in particular was outstanding as it has been for the last month of netball.
The second half saw the girls stick to their guns with Ivy, Evie and Olive controlling the mid court and providing Eden and Ellie with plenty of opportunity to score from good positions in the ring.
The end score really showed the hard work they put in for a full four quarters.
Next week we take on Dalyston with a full list and all the girls are excited to try knock off a top team heading into finals.
Awards went to Ivy and Eden.
Go Doggies!
