Island netballers face Nar Nar Goon - U11s

On Saturday morning the girls took on what would be their biggest test of the year, in reigning premiers Nar Nar Goon.

Frankie was named as captain for the day and from the very first whistle, was getting a hand to all opposition passes creating turnovers for the girls to pounce on.

First quarter was even with the girls only trailing by three at the break.

The next couple of quarters, the NNG girls found their range, and without taking anything at all away from our girls, they held their own in new positions and never gave up.

It’s still so early in the season for this group and over the next few weeks we can see plenty of improvement from them, and more stability on the court!

Thanks to all the parents that are there early every week on Saturdays and every Thursday for training.

We appreciate it and look forward to continual improvement with the kids.
