Island young guns impress at Leongatha
This week's LDNA reports and results.
U13 Red
Last Saturday saw Phillip Island take on Inverloch - Kongwak. The entire game was a battle of the midcourt, as possession of the ball changed hands constantly with both teams putting forward their best defensive tactics.
The island girls across the court fought hard to try and secure the ball, intercepting at every opportunity.
The island used this tactic to keep the score as tight as possible - however Inverloch-Kongwak Gold took the win by the end of the match.
Best on: Sophia and Georgie - for their great defence.

U13 White
The island's White team took on Mirboo North on Saturday, with the girls taking on board a variety of skills they had been working hard on at training. They displayed solid skills that resulted in a victory for the island.
The defenders wouldn't let the opponents in and the rebounds were fantastic.
The midcourt girls worked hard on their passes and intercepts to maintain possession throughout, along with the goalies using their ring work skill to keep the score rising.
Best on: Lavenia and Willow.

U13 Blue
In their fourth game of the season Phillip Island took on Meeniyan. The girls played a strong game, defeating Meeniyan.
Going into the last quarter with a big lead, the team switched up positions which the girls handled extremely well.
Best on: India Donohue and Lulu Van Der Walt.
