Kylie Wookey releases a shot under close attention from her Nar Nar Goon defender.

D Grade
This week D Grade didn’t necessarily take the formal win, but it was an incredible win for D Grade as a team.

It’s been a tough season for the new squad, but they have persisted with our commitment to improving individually and as a group and this week it certainly paid off.

The defenders were strong and took every chance possible against some tough shooting to gain turnovers.

They always had the midfielders’ backs who took on feedback throughout the game to work the ball patiently and smoothly down the court and created the best flow they have had all season.

The goalies really rose to the occasion.

They found space, held their positions, and were rewarded, producing the highest score of the season against a strong opponent.

So, while the team didn’t take the points, they embraced the challenge and produced their best performance yet, making a real difference for the team.

Best: Krista Harris.
Score: NNG 58 def KB-34.

U17
The U17s travelled to Nar Nar Goon this weekend with a few players unavailable, so they were fortunate to have several U15s step up to fill the team who all fitted in seamlessly.

Nar Nar Goon came out strongly from the first centre pass and applied consistent pressure, but the girls continued to work hard and never gave up.

There were some excellent passages of play, strong teamwork across the court.
Although the result didn’t go their way, the effort, determination, and resilience shown by the team from start to finish was something to be proud of.

Izzy Stead started the game strongly in goals before seamlessly transitioning into defence, where her versatility, intensity and defensive pressure made a significant impact.

A shoutout to Elisha for donating COR awards kindly to the team.

Best: Izzy Stead for an outstanding all-round performance.
Score: NNG 52 def KB 23.

U15
The U15s travelled to Nar Nar Goon and put in a determined performance against one of the competition's strongest sides, going down in a hard-fought contest.

With Nar Nar Goon currently sitting second on the ladder, the result was a true reflection of just how far this young Panthers side has come.

The girls matched their opponents with intensity, never giving up and fighting for every ball until the final whistle.

Their teamwork, resilience, and willingness to compete were on full display, and they should be incredibly proud of the way they challenged one of the benchmark teams in the competition.

Best: Frankie Leary.
Score: NNG 34 def KB 28.

U13
Kilcunda Bass U13s took on Nar Nar Goon in dry conditions for what felt like the first time in months, and the girls were excited and ready for the challenge.

For the first three quarters, it was a hard-fought contest with both teams going goal for goal.

The young Panthers played some fantastic netball, moving the ball well, working hard for each other and showing great determination across the court.

Unfortunately, the girls got into their own heads a little in the final quarter and lost some of the momentum they had built throughout the game.

Nar Nar Goon capitalised to pull away, with the Bass team eventually going down.
While the scoreboard didn’t fall their way, there was plenty to like from the first three quarters.

Keep believing in yourselves ladies.

Best: Summer Van Steensel.
Score: NNG 33 def KB 20.

U11
Kilcunda Bass U11s took on Nar Nar Goon on Saturday, going down hard.
Despite the result, the team showed great determination, teamwork, and continued improvement throughout the game.

Their skills and confidence continue to grow each week, with every player making a valuable contribution.
The team’s happy and positive attitude and commitment to improving are a credit to everyone involved.

Best: Tommy Magnussen Best on Court for the excellent performance in the WA and C positions.
Score: NNG 23 def KB 5.
