LDNA semi-finals await Island's netball talent
Congratulations to the Island's Red team on their stellar win against Mt Eccles which now sees them through to the semi-finals.

U13 Red

Saturday saw Island Red take to the court against a strong Mt Eccles White team.

The sun was shining and the Island had a steely determination going into this week's round with the knowledge that a win could see them into the semi-finals.

The first half saw the Island put their strong and reliable game plan into action with Sera, Alexis and Miranda holding the defence, Georgie, Ella, Sophia and Hazel attacking the midcourt along with the resilient and steadfast Madi and Aliza taking the goal circle.

The Reds faced a gritty opponent in Mt Eccles, but with perseverance and brilliant manoeuvres around the court, the Island held firm and secured a strong lead into half time.

The second half of the game saw a quick switch around of a few positions, with Hazel taking up the GS bib and Aliza flipping her mindset into GK.

The plan proved fruitful and with blazing intercepts at the hands of Alexis, Georgie and Miranda, the Reds held strong to take the win.

After a quick check and confirmation, it was announced the Island Red's with all their tenacity, talent and outstanding teamwork had achieved their goal, they are through to the LDNA Semi Finals next week.

U13 White

Phillip Island White took on Inverloch Kongwak Gold last week on a sunny Saturday.

Whilst it took the first quarter to shake off their nerves, the group found their form in the second to catch up, leaving scores level by half time.

By the third quarter the Island's best skills shone and took the lead.

The fourth quarter placed the Island at the crowd end of the court leading the girls to use that to their advantage to pull away and take the win.

U13 Blue

The final match of the season proved to be an exhilarating and enjoyable experience for the Phillip Island Blue team defeating Fish Creek White 22-4.

All players enjoyed the excellent ball movement down the court, demonstrating a high level of coordination and teamwork.

To enjoy the final half, the Island's players had the opportunity to trial various positions and strategies that hadn't been explored throughout the season.

The experience was both enjoyable and educational, leaving the team in high spirits as they look forward to future challenges next year.
