LDNA U15s

It was a great atmosphere to watch Phillip Island verse Mt Eccles, LDNA's top under 15s in their first final.

Mt Eccles came out hard and fast from the first whistle keeping Mia and Rose on their toes in defence.

With a very strong attacking side against us the challenge was huge.

Mt Eccles is the only team that our girls play that has a very springy male Goal Attack.

Pepper was seen leaping through the centre with sharp passes to Maki, Ashby and Tahlia on the wings.

The team fired up when Mt Eccles GA was pulled up for footwork and the crowd shouted out some encouraging cheers.

Izzy and Scarlet tried their best to score but the tall so far unbeatable Mt Eccles team was just too strong.

Coach Leana gave the girls a great talk encouraging them to not give up and to keep going and work as a team and reminded them to reflect on what she's been coaching them at training.

The girls did well to keep up morale and show good sportsmanship.

They now have one more chance next week to qualify for the grand final.
