Living Earth at Berninneit

A parade to celebrate the Western Port Biosphere (Warn Marin) will start at 2.30pm at Berninneit on October 3.

The parade is part of a special Living Earth Gathering, and will move from the Great Hall to the Art Gallery.

The colour costumes and puppets that form part of the parade were made from recycled materials at a community "come and create" day on September 26, with local artist Camille Monet.

The parade on October 3, presented by the Phillip Island Conservation Society, is part of a special event at the exhibition of artist Hoa Nguyen's "Becoming the Forest" at the Berninneit Art Gallery.

The community is invited to join on the day to celebrate the Western Port Biosphere, advocate for its ongoing protection, welcome home the island's migratory birds and listen to the stories of the forest.

After the parade, there will be a Deep Listening Circle, followed by afternoon tea.
