A Grade

Scores: Phillip Island: 47 def by Koo Wee Rup: 66.

B Grade

After a bye, the B Grade girls looked forward to getting back out on the court in their match against Koo Wee Rup.

With several players out of action, Matilda stepped up from the U17s and played a strong role in GS.

Additionally, Steph Krainer (C Grade) worked an important role in WD - getting multiple touches and turnovers.

Amber Formosa made her comeback after a few seasons off, showing that she hadn't missed a beat.

With the Island team adaptive to continual game changes, the girls reigned dominant taking home a win against a strong Koo Wee Rup.

C Grade

The C Graders entered the match with a determined mindset, aiming to improve on the goal margin from their previous encounter. Right from the start, the defensive unit made a significant impact, applying relentless pressure on Koo Wee Rup’s goal shooters. Rachael Cameron was a standout performer, showcasing her skills with multiple intercepts and a tireless effort that kept the pressure on the opposition throughout the game. Additionally, Georgie, affectionately known as "the janitor," played a pivotal role in cleaning up the mess by creating turnovers and fearlessly putting her body on the line to shut down Koo Wee Rup’s goalers.

Elisha made a return to the court after her holiday, bringing a relaxed vibe paired with an impressive work ethic. Someone called the brigade — she was truly on fire! Her recent steps around Europe seemed to have enhanced her agility, as her footwork was outstanding. Elisha's ability to effortlessly put up goals, reminiscent of stowing away heavy overhead baggage.

Awards for the match were presented to Elisha Blake and Rachael Maddox.

D Grade

U17s

Scores: Phillip Island: 37 def Koo Wee Rup: 27.

U15s

In what was another wet morning, the Island U15 girls played a tough, slow game against Koo Wee Rup.

With players having difficulty finding space and driving onto the ball, Koo Wee Rup took their chance to intercept numerous passes and converted.

The Island were down two players and trailed all game, leading to a tough loss.

Best on court: Adelle.

U13s

In a home match against Koo Wee Rup, the Island U13 girls worked hard throughout however, luck was not on their side after a slow start.

After a two-week break and the absence of several players, the team's performance was significantly impacted.

By the fourth quarter, they had found a rhythm and with more time, may have closed the gap.

Awards: Charlee and Piper.
